Purchase - A - Temporary - Code - to - Help Program
At Pete Kitt's we realize that life can be challenging. Sometimes things happen which prevent people from making their car payment on time.

To help get through times like this, Pete Kitt's Automotive Sales & Service has implemented a "Purchase-A-Temporary-Code-to-Help" (PATCH) program for our BHPH customers.

Here's how it works
If you are unable to make a scheduled payment and your free grace period is ending. You can Purchase a Temporary Code for your Secure Pay Device. This code will allow you to operate your car for a short time without your full car payment.

To get a PATCH code, a processing fee is required at the time you request it. This fee varies based on the length of time of the extension. Maximum extensions are one week for weekly payers, two weeks for biweekly payers, and three weeks for monthly payers.

The PATCH is not a replacement for car payments, it only provides a short extension of payment. The full car payment is still due by the end of the extension.

It is important to note that the PATCH extends the due date of the current payment based on the date it was due and not from the date the PATCH is given.

Additional PATCHs are available only until your next payment is due. At that time you must make the delayed payment in full as well as the current payment due or another PATCH payment. If you are unable to do this, then arrangements to return the car must be made. Each new PATCH requires the new fee to be paid at the time of the request.

*** No PATCH codes will be issued during the 1st three payment cycles. If you are unable to make your 1st three payments, then please return your vehicle.

Fees
One week PATCH $20.00
Two week PATCH (biweekly and monthly payers only) $50.00
Three week PATCH (monthly payers only) $85.00

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES will any PATCH be given to extend payment beyond the next payment due date. If you are unable to make your payment by the next payment date, we ask that you call us to make arrangements to return your vehicle.

Receiving a PATCH code does not change or modify in any way, your obligations under the terms of your loan or BHPH agreement.

Reminder of Payment Hours
Buy Here Pay Here payments are accepted only during our normal office hours from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM Monday through Friday (except holidays). As a convenience, payments can be made by credit card over the phone.

If the indicator of your Secure Pay box is red, please immediately make arrangements to make your payment during these hours to ensure that your vehicle does not disable.

Secure Pay Vehicle Security System
The Secure Pay System is a vehicle protection device which is designed to protect the vehicle from unauthorized use or theft. To secure your vehicle, simply enter your 6 digit security code. The device will show red and the vehicle will not start. To disengage the system and allow starting again, simply enter the 6 digit code again. The device will show green and the car will start.

Secure Pay payment reminder system
Your Secure Pay device is designed to advise you of the status of your payment and when payment is due. A light on the device advises you of your payment status.

Green
When payment is made and code entered the device turns green until the day before your next payment is due.

Amber
On the day before your next payment is due the light will change from green to amber.

Red
The light will turn red on the day your payment is due.

Flashing Red
A flashing red light means that your payment is overdue and you are in the grace period. A late payment fee is now required to get a code.

Flashing Red & Beeping
The light will flash red and sound a beep warning that payment is overdue and that the vehicle will be disabled at 11:59 PM. Your payment is overdue and you are past the grace period. Your full payment and a late payment fee are now required to get a code.

Disable
If payment is not made and a code is not entered, the vehicle will now become disabled. Your payment is overdue and your car will not start. Your full payment and a late payment fee are now required to get a code.

Please understand that we can not take payments outside of these hours, please do not ask us to do so. If you are unable to make your full payment on time, then you must purchase a PATCH code to ensure that your vehicle does not disable.
